Word of the Day for a FULL year! Vocabulary for Grades 2-3 (200 words!)

"Word of the Day" is a fun way to get students interested in words and learning new vocabulary.
 
The “Word of the Day” packet includes 200 words to get you through the whole school year! The words in this packet are geared toward second and third grade. Each word is displayed on its own page with its part(s) of speech and definition. The pages are beautifully designed to be displayed in your classroom and in black and white for easy printing.
 
This packet also includes a vocabulary graphic organizer for students to document their knowledge about each word (its definition, its part of speech, using it in a sentence, and an illustration of it). Additionally, the packet includes 6 choices of cover pages with different child characters on them, so that they can be personalized for your students. You can create a book, notebook, or binder for students' vocabulary graphic organizers throughout the whole year. The packet also includes a page for inclusion in an interactive notebook, which students can glue into their notebooks and record the words on the 5 strips and the definitions under each strip on the paper behind it.
 
You can incorporate “word of the day” during circle time, morning meeting, transitional periods during the day, or at the end of the day. It's a fun and meaningful addition to your classroom any way you choose to use it!
